Music is an art, which provides immense scope for expressing ones ideas, thoughts and feelings. The department of music was established in the year, 1981. The Instrumental music was started in the year, 2004. At present the department offers degree level courses of music vocal and music instrumental also. The department started with a strength of a few students and now accommodates 115 students.

The overall performance of students is quite encouraging with more than 70% students getting distinctions and 100% results every year in the subject.
Lab have well equipped the music lab fulfilling all the basic requirements of the students at U.G level. We have sufficient musical instruments of various type like – 14 sitars, 7- Tabla pairs, 6- Manual Tanpuras and 2- electronic tanpuras, 5- harmoniums, 1- electronic Tabla for Indian orchestra and Haryana orchestra. We have various instruments in the department.

Music Associations organize cultural activities to appreciate the students talent. Students actively participate in various competitions from college level, State level to National level. The college provides the best possible professional training and guidance to the student through talent shows and various other cultural activities in college. Over the last four years the college recorded amazing cultural achievements. For the third course captive year. We have won the trophy for over all best performance in zonal youth festival of kurukshetra university. This session with 10 items recommended and 9 commended. The college made a grand entry into inter-zonal festival and came out victorious with 6 items recommended and 1 commended. We won the prestigious inter-zonal trophy first time for our outstanding achievements in 7 out of 10 events.

We participated in for the first time in history of the college. We participated in all India Inter-University Youth festival( North Zone ) held in Amritsar . Recently a musical concert organized by deptt. of music collaborate with SPIC MACAY Yamuna Nagar chapter. The renowned artist of this function were Padmashree, Grammy Award winner, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and Hindustani vocalist Smt. Ashwani  Bhide deshpande, now we are associated as a member of SPIC MACAY.
