Women Cell was constituted in 1998 which has an Advisory Committee consisting  of an Advisor, Govt. Representative, NGO, Lawyer and Doctor from the city. With a view to take up women’s issues and problems, the cell aims at bringing awareness to the students about women’s rights and duties. It also provides a platform to them to share their experiences and views regarding the status of women in the society and suggest ways to improve and empower themselves.

Activities

• Weekly meetings

• Seminars on relevant topics like female feticide, legislations regarding women-empowerment, 
  dowry and gender bias etc..

• Picture exhibition on women related issues.

• Poster drawing, poetry recitation, essay writing and declamation contests.

• News items, clippings and quotes and self-composed poem of the students are regularly displayed on board.

• Jatha Geet and Nukkad Natak are staged from time to time.

The cell has created a separate section for books, journals and magazines on women related issues in the college library.
